What repos work with the Free tier?
Any public repository on GitHub. If the repo is visible to the world, reviewGOOSE works with it for free.
Do I need to install anything?
Install the reviewGOOSE:GitHub App on your repos, then grab the desktop app or set up Slack. Under a minute total.
Is it really free forever?
Yes. Public repos will always be free. We believe open-source maintainers shouldn't have to pay for tools to manage contributions.
What if I contribute to both public and private repos?
Free tier covers your public repo activity. For private repos, you'll need Pro ($2/mo). You can use both simultaneously.

Why pay for Pro?
Private repository access. If you work on internal projects, client work, or any non-public code, Pro unlocks those repos. Same features, more repos.
Can I use it for both work and personal projects?
Yes. Pro covers all repos you have access to, whether that's your employer's private repos, your side projects, or open-source work.
$2/month seems cheap. What's the catch?
No catch. We keep costs low because the infrastructure is shared. If you need org-wide billing or priority support, that's what Flock is for.
What about my team?
Each person needs their own Pro subscription, or consider Flock for centralized org billing. Flock is $3/seat/month with easier admin.

What about security and compliance?
reviewGOOSE accesses PR metadata and config files in your .codeGROOVE repository. No access to source code in other repos. Data encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Auto-delete on uninstall. See our security page for details.
Can we trial it before committing?
Use the Free tier on any public repos to evaluate. The experience is identical. When ready for private repos, upgrade to Flock.

What data do you access?
PR metadata (titles, authors, reviewers, status, timestamps) and configuration files in your .codeGROOVE repository. No access to source code in your other repos. The desktop app runs entirely locally.
Is the desktop app open source?
Yes. The desktop app (reviewGOOSE/Goose) is open source on GitHub. The server component that powers real-time sync is proprietary.
What platforms are supported?

How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime from your account settings. No lock-in, no exit fees. Your data is deleted within 48 hours of cancellation.
